City of Peck Clean Up Day!

4/26/2025

Hello Peck Community!

It’s that time of year again! We are cleaning up the town!

In our efforts to continue with improving fire safety in our beautiful little town, on Saturday, April 26th, the City of Peck will have dumpsters available for Peck City residents to use.

What does this mean for you?

This is your chance to have yard waste and any bulky items hauled off. There will be a truck & trailer making rounds around town to pick up bulk items or the 3 dumpsters will be available across the park for drop off between 8am- 4pm

There will be 3 dumpers:

-scrap metal/household appliances

-household waste/furniture

-yard waste (branches, brambles, grass clippings etc.)

Remember, this is for fire safety! So, this is everyone’s opportunity to get some spring cleaning done and head into summer feeling confident and refreshed!

So, between now and April 26th, let’s get this party started!

The Plan:

- The LBCC and any volunteers willing and able to come and help cleanup areas of priority will meet at the Peck Park at 8am- please bring tools if you can, if not, that is okay, there will be tools available.

- Please dress for success, wear your working clothes, bring gloves, and eye protection (if you have some, we will also have extra on site too)

- Bring your positive, can- do attitude and be ready to have some fun and kick some butt for a few hours!

- There will be a community potluck at the park from 11am to 1pm. If you can, please bring a side, if not, no worries, please still come!

Opportunities:

- This is a great way to get kids involved in helping the community- if you have any children or grandchildren or know of any youths who are looking for volunteer opportunities for a resume or a job application, this is their time to shine.

- If you are unable to participate in the cleanup in any way but would like to help us with providing tools, making snacks, or providing drinks, that would be greatly appreciated as well

- Please spread the word! If you have a neighbor who might not be on Facebook, please discuss this opportunity with them

If you or anyone you know will need help with bulky waste or yard waste, please reach out to City Hall at 208-486-7791

or reach out to the Little Big Canyon Club.
